Research Facilities

Spinode Linux Cluster

Spinode is a 18-node Linux cluster comprised of dual-quad core and dual-hex core Intel processors with Gigabit ethernet connectivity. It is the primary in-house parallel computing engine for all molecular dynamics simulations in the group. You can contact the system administrator for an account.

Students can also access the IITB cluster, "SpaceTime", and the MEMS department cluster, "Dendrite".

Multi-dispense spin coater

We use a SCS Coatings Multi-Dispense Spin Coater for fabricating polymer thin films by Layer-by-Layer assembly.

Access to various fabrication and characterization resources is available at various centralized facilities on the IITB campus.

Conductivity Measurement Apparatus

Keithley current source and Keithley nano-voltmeter are used for measuring thin film resistances using the van der Pauw method.
